Maria Montessori was an Italian education reformer in the early 20th Century. To this day her methods of teaching are used and have been proven to form independent thinkers and future leaders.

The 7 Principles of Montessori
Montessori education can be broken down into seven basic principles that form the basis of DG’s Montessori’s daycare and teaching philosophy.
Children want to learn, but they want learning to be fun. We encourage stimulating play that feeds developing minds.
We prepare an environment that allows children to move freely and independently, all while being structured and encouraging learning.
Our education fosters autonomy of the child, encouraging them to be responsible for themselves, their belongings, and their environment.
Children are like sponges and learn through experience. Through engaging activities requiring active participation, we harness our student absorbent minds for a superior education.
We carefully observe students’ behavior and interest, allowing us to tailor our education to their needs.
We give children choices from approved options that feed their development. We guide our students, while respecting the child’s autonomy.
Montessori is about mutual respect between instructors, parents, and students. We make a point of recognizing the uniqueness of each individual.

Meet DG
Dilek Gazioglu
Dilek Gazioglu is passionate about children and their development. As the instructor at DG’s Montessori, she expertly employs the philosophies of education passed down by Maria Montessori. DG is bilingual (English and Turkish) and knows basic baby signs (American Sign Language). She has certifications Child Development Association (CDA), MAT training, Annual training, and AMS Montessori. Everyday, she brings a unique educational perspective to children between six weeks and three and a half years old—fostering their development and paving the way for future success.
